News: Survey reveals ladies like a man who drives a convertible in Amalfi
And if you can change a tyre, lads, well...
IF YOU’RE a man who likes to drive an Audi convertible in his spare time, and not just to and from work, and who likes to take it for a spin along the Amalfi coast when the mood strikes him, you could be fighting off the ladies.
On the other hand, if you drive a Porsche or Ferrari, previously regarded as the most desired brands, or, heaven forbid, an estate, you could be driving solo for a very long time.
The shock findings come courtesy of Europcar which surveyed 2,000 women to find out what they looked for in the perfect man.
Being able to change a tyre came top of their demands, followed by filling their car with fuel ‒ and paying for it. Away from the steering wheel, over half of women wanted a man who brought them tea in bed and, importantly, a man who laughed at their jokes.
And if men thought that a way to a woman’s heart was by showing their caring and responsible side, forget it: Volvo joined Ferrari and Porsche as one of women’s least favoured marques.
Ken McCall, managing director of Europcar, said: “Whether he plays sport or plays an instrument, most women agree a man should be in a convertible, a car that says luxury without being flashy.”
