THE COMPACT SUV war just got fiercer with the unveiling of this, the Lexus NX, a more aggressive-looking rival to the likes of conservatively styled models such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
Like the recently arrived Lexus IS saloon, the new car features the brand’s trademark spindle grille but even edgier and bolder styling. The car maker claims that through the use of high-end technology and distinctive design, the NX sets new standards for its future models.

To this end, the interior features wireless charging, a panoramic view monitor, a head-up display and a multi-information display with G-sensor and boost meter.
To accompany its sporty cabin, complete with thick-rimmed sports steering wheel and contrasting trims, the NX is powered a by a choice of powerful engines including its familiar petrol-electric hybrid and, a first for Lexus, a turbocharged 2-litre petrol.
The NX will be available in two or four-wheel drive, and UK deliveries begin at the end of the year.
